“The BUV has again served as an ambulance. I was up the hill in Jazmín yesterday and a lady called Lizbeth was having some kind of attack and crying and complaining of much pain. It was starting to rain. We carried her to the BUV and brought her down to the clinic. Today I asked how she is and the mother said she’s doing OK now.
At the hospital the doctor put serum to her vein and gave her pain relievers. Today, as maybe 40 other times, the team went up the hill with the equipment to raise another Yellow Smarts Model House at Jazmín, the shanty community. During rainy season the BUV is one of the very few vehicles that can go up and down that hill.”
